Imagine the Possible Campaign
Imagine the Possible Campaign
North Shore Congregation Israel (NSCI) is the oldest synagogue on the North Shore of Chicago. The architecturally iconic building overlooks Lake Michigan, yet the configuration of some of the building’s spaces hampered access to the beautiful grounds and obstructed physical connection. It was time for NSCI to revitalize, redesign and renovate.
NSCI had made impressive progress with their pre-pandemic capital and endowment campaigns, completing the quiet phase with $9 million raised. It was time to broaden the campaign congregation-wide and refocus through a combination of creative fundraising strategies and fresh messaging to reach 500 donors and raise the remaining $3.5 million.
Together with the staff, clergy, board and the campaign committee, we drove phase two of the campaign. This included a mini feasibility assessment through donor interviews, a strategic timeline and gift table, inspiring messaging and collateral, a new committee of campaign ambassadors and outreach to affinity groups.
Brought to life a modern, safe and welcoming synagogue campus with flexible and comfortable interior spaces and a beautifully reimagined outdoors.
